GIRLS

Coach: Mike Acord

2019-20 Record: 10-13

Trojan basketball is on the rise as head coach Mike Acord returns a young, but talented team that features a few players that may have next level talent. “We have a younger team this year, but our players have been together for several years so anything we lack in experience we make up in team chemistry,” said Acord. “We have several players that are capable of playing at the next level and we are excited to see how they can lead our program to success this season.” Mackenzie Forgione (6-0, So.) is one of those young, talented players with a high ceiling. Kiara Brown (5-11, Jr.) joins Forgione at forward giving the Lady Trojans two players that can work in the paint. Madison Luciano (5-4, So.) starts at guard with Brooklyn Robinson (5-5, Jr.). The pair have excellent ball skills and play salty defense. Also look for Khalise Berry (5-2, So.), Paige Robertson (5-8, Jr.) and Jill Twiehaus (5-10, Fr.) at guard. SOMETHING TO WATCH – Mackenzie Forgione worked her way into the starting lineup as a freshman last season. She is an extremely versatile player and at 6-foot she can play inside but also has a great outside skill set.
