The Glenpool Warriors are looking for more than just wins this season. Head coach Jerry Gardner believes his players need to come together and play for one another if this team is going to take that next step. The Warrior nation is a proud group of people and they love their football team. Coach Gardner is using that to his advantage as he and his staff work to bring them together as one unit. “Unity is strength. When there is teamwork and collaboration, wonderful things can be achieved,” said coach Gardner. Ryan Winn (6-3, 265, Sr.) is one of the senior leaders on the team. Winn had 16 pancake blocks last year and is expected to have a big senior campaign. Quarterback Mike Edwards (5-7, 150, Jr.) returns to lead the Warriors with running back Shawn McLaughlin (6-0, 185, Jr.). Joining Winn on the line is Wade Dean (6-2, 250, Jr.) at right tackle and Nick Marshal (6-0, 235, Sr.) at left guard. Colby Tarrant (6-0, 220, Jr.) starts at H-back and tight end. The offense does have a couple of holes to fill, but look for this team to run the ball effectively and move the chains.

Defensive playmaker Gus Edwards (5-8, 160, Sr.) returns at linebacker where he accounted for 96 tackles and six sacks in 2019. Edwards will lead the way on defense with Jake Roberts (5-8, 185, Jr.) getting in on the fun. Roberts will start at linebacker with Edwards where he added 94 tackles and two sacks. Another linebacker to watch is Rhythm Smith (6-0, 205, Sr.) at strongside linebacker. Smith was a playmaking machine in 2019 grabbing 79 tackles and two sacks. Safety Cayden Willingham (5-7, 175, Sr.) is a fearless safety that makes hard plays look easy. Drake Poth (6-0, 180, Sr.) is the teams best corner having 19 tackles, one interception and six pass breakups a year ago. The coaching staff will include Ted Smith, Bo Farrow, Israel Maselera, Tyson Bowling and Christopher Duke.
